DIY: Bluetooth Adapter
Quick way to add a great sounding bluetooth adapter to your car. I bought a Belkin Bluetooth adapter from amazon as shown here.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...00_i00_details I got mine used in like new condition for $51.99. The quality of device is great. The circle is a large button used for answering phone calls/pausing music. There is a built in microphone that picks up talking extremely well. People on the other end of the phone call can't tell there on speaker. Due to the built in microphone I placed it under the parking brake. The orange glow matches the bmw interior well at night as shown in the pictures. I installed it below the parking brake, but can be placed anywhere. It is two pieces. One is a circle magnet with 3m tape and the other is the device that magnetically attaches to it. I ran the wire threw the parking break boot (just lift up on the back and it will pop right off. Then through the vent (mine has a boost controller knob for a subwoofer on it) and into the cigarette lighter and aux in port. Install takes about 5 minutes. Clean look with only a little bit of wire hanging down from the parking boot. |

Great. This is perfect since I dont have BT and nav in my 06 325. Question. Does the arm rest fully close with the adapter in the lighter source?

Yes there is now wiring that wouldn't allow it to close. The wire runs from the device thru the parking brake boot, thru the vent and then finally into the cigarette lighter.
