Exclamation ***Wheel Size Thread***

There is a lot of talk about wheel size, what fits and not, aggressive, flush, square, race... So why not have a thread on what people are running, and give others idea what they can or would like to run for reference. Give your wheel/offset and tire size. Post pics if possible to give an idea how you're fitting your wheels!!

I'll Start:

19x9 et14 225 35 19 toyo t1r
19x10.5 et13 245 35 19

if you have a 335i, then it probably rubs on the oil cooler vent on full turns.

Does lowest possible offset differ from pre-LCI TO LCI? The reason I ask is because I have just sold a pre-LCI E90 and bought an LCI E90 and will shortly be fitting new rimmage.
@OP your car looks amazing!

The body of the lci should be the same as pre-lci. the main things that are changed on the same chassis are usually bumper changes. So for LCI: bumper headlights, and rear are changed.

LCI has 8mm less clearance per side because the rear track was widened 16mm

Out of curiosity, why get such wide wheels when running such narrow tires? Seems to defeat the purpose of running wider wheels and just adds unnecessary weight (wider wheels = ability to correctly run wider tires). If the cars can't run a wide tire (285+), then I'd imagine that you'd want to run a narrower wheel (9.5").

E.g.,
19x10.5, 245/35/19 - a 285+/30/19 tire would fit this wheel much better
19x9.5, 225/35/19 - a 265+/30/19 tire would fit this wheel much better

Hi, friends. First post on the forum for me. I'm VERY new to the BMW scene, so forgive any amateur questions or concerns of mine.

Just recently got myself an 08 328i coupe. Looking to add a set of H&R Sport Springs and 19" Avante Garde M310s. I'm looking to pair the front wheels (8.5") with 235/35/19 and rear wheels (9.5") with 265/30/19. This seems to be a pretty common, safe bet for tire sizing. They will probably be the Hankook Ventus V12s.

What I'd like to know is... with this wheel/tire combo, will there be any rubbing after installing the H&R Sport springs? I'd rather not do any fender rolling, but the stance of these springs with 19" wheels is really what I'd like to achieve.

I'm a newb when it comes to offsets, so I'd appreciate any help in regards to the ET-35, ET-15, ET-43, etc sort of options I see on PYSpeed and **********s. I don't need anything crazy as far as aggressive stances and wide tires are concerned. My main issue is avoiding any rubbing.

Thanks in advance!

Your size you are looking for is typical with tire size. Having +30 offset will not cause rubbing issues. GL

It's like I'm curious why people out there wear baggy to skinny jeans and not wear jeans that just fit right...!

It's style I guess...

OP,

What suspension are you running? I just ordered a set of KW V2's for my 07 E92. I'd like to have the same specs and stance similar to yours but probably not as aggressive, maybe x8.5 or x9 fronts and x10 rears. With those tires stretched and offset, did you have to do any fender work (Im guessing yes)? Thanks.
