Another Procede Log Review
I'm FBO running 75% E85 with meth even though its probably overkill.
I don't know why I keep getting so much throttle closure. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. Last edited by pits200; 09-13-2012 at 10:27 PM.. |

The throttle closure looks fine. 1st gear will always see throttle closure at high RPM since it is the only way for the TCU to slow the engine down quickly enough to execute a properly timed upshift. And the little throttle activity in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear is perfectly normal as well. With recent mapsupdates, we don't simulate an underboost condition like we used to with older maps. This keeps the throttle "on its toes" and more quickly able to jump in when overboost occurs. Keep in mind that throttle needs to close more that 25% in order for it to result in any power loss. So seeing closures in the 0-15% range is a non-issue.

How about the lack of ignition advance? I was running higher boost than usual but it was about 65 degrees out and with plenty of octane. Any suggestions on this. |
