How to get rid of Interior Creaking

I've owned my E90 320D for about a year now and I absolutely love it.

However, during my ownership period, I've had two very annoying issues:

1.) A rattle noise which appears to be coming from the dash when cornering hard.

2.) The doors and general interior creaks are very loud and somewhat embarrassing.

I've read several threads on this forum attempting to cure issue 2; however, I've had so such luck.

That is, until today!

I used the following:

Silicon Spray (transparent when applied no mess)
Chamois
Bucket soap and water
Microfibre cloth

First I used a sponge with the soap and water and cleaned the door and body rubbers. I then dried it off with the chamois and let it sit for about 10 minutes.

After that, I generously applied the silicon spray on the door and body rubbers while holding the microfibre cloth to ensure I didn't get any over spray.

Finally, I wiped off the excess with the cloth and let the car sit for about 20 minutes to remove any odours left by the spray (the spray didn't really have a strong scent to begin with).

I then took the car for a drive and no creaks!

What a simple fix to such a huge annoying problem! Let's see how long it lasts before I have to reapply.

I am still trying to figure out how to cure issue 1!

I have a ferocious rattle in mine that began when I installed my downpipes. It only kicks in at certain RPM's, I'd say from like 2500-4000. It sounds like it's coming from somewhere in the back seat but I can't really investigate because I'm always driving when I hear it, lol. I need to find a buddy to drive while I hunt it down.

You sure you don't just have a loose bolt in your exhaust? I'd check/retorque your work if you did it yourself.

I had it done at an indy shop. I'm fairly certain the sound originates inside the cab, but I never considered that possibility. Hmm...

Yes track down your exhaust from downpes to tailpipe. Had a loose fitting years ago on a car...stumped me for awhile. Had another that was close enough to touchstone of the frame at times. So nice to get rid of those noises!

I have the exact same damn noise. Drives me nuts. It almost sounds like it's coming from somewhere behind the center armrest or the backseat air vent area. I've had people sit in the backseat and press on things but no luck. Guess I'll have to check under the car for loose bolts, too.
