Also to OP I considered a c300/350 and you definitely just need to sit in and drive both of them yourself. I drove an 03 c320 before and it had every problem on the planet imaginable. I couldn't take it anymore even though it wasn't even my car and I was using it very cheaply so decided to save up for my own car. Test drove 2008 c300/350 and compared to 328/335. I knew the moment I drove the 335 that that was the car for me. Totally different feel. Aesthetically I think Benz has the edge on exterior design but BMW definitely better on interior. Reliability I can't really answer. My car has been fine for a year whereas my older Benz was a complete headache over the 2 years I used it. Not a fair comparison. Performance-wise I clearly chose the 335 but between 328 and c300 I think I preferred driving the manual c300 sport better (though I never drove manual 328, only auto).

Thanks I just wonder how their awd is compared to xdrive and I currently have rwd. But I need to see what their factory warranty is and cpo is? When compared to BMWs.

What is making me look, is shitty service by BMW of Ann arbor and Erhard. I have no other dealers to take it to around me. And I have full warranty and after that cpo warranty on current BMW until 4/2016...

Maybe I will just keep my bimmer, at least I know what to expect to go wrong with it, compared to knowing nothing about Benz vehicles.

Im not sure if Merc or Audi is more reliable than BMW. If you're concern about reliability or little bugs and such going wrong with your ride, I would recommend Lexus.

Idk if those c class cars have the air suspension or not, but if it does then I would never own one. That air suspension from MB is garbage on reg models and even on the AMG models. Crap fails and blows out all the time if you keep the car for a decent time.

Thanks, after I did more research at lunchtime today I am definitely leaning towards keeping my BMW.

So far I have received 4 different emails after I sent an email to the GM of my dealership. So if they take care of my baby there is no reason to get another vehicle.

I regret getting a 2010 model year since speakers were cut to 6, no backseat nets, no hood liner,etc...

But I miss the adaptive xenon lights the most though.

And if I keep it I have to get 17" rims/tires with non run flat tires.

Well dropped of my 328i this morning and got a 528x drive loaner fully loaded. And hopefully the new crew there will fix my ride back to 100%.

But the 5 series is sweet.

personally i have driven both c300 and 328 i feel like the 328 is more of a sturdy car and a bit quicker but my major concern was after driving the c300 and sitting in the driver seat and playing with all the buttons and knobs, its interior is very cheap. its brittle plastic everywhere, the wood is fake wood, and every button feels like it will eventually fade away. that was my determining factor but ultimately you will have to make your own.

Hopefully they fix my ride up but am enjoying the 2013 5 series loaner..

I drove the C250 as a loaner while my 07 C-Class was in the shop back in June just before I bought my 328i. It felt real zippy with the turbo 4-banger. Was a nice ride for sure. I think the interiors are sort of comparable. At least the 2012 C250 and my 08 328 seem similar enough. Both had/have in-dash nav. The C250 felt a bit more luxurious, but the BMW is just more of a driver's car, IMO.

Well I got my car back today and after having the 5 series for a week I actually like my 3 series better. Only things I wish I had from it was xenon lights and the idrive with navigation.
