On post 03/2009 vehicles without the prewired alarm, you should still have the mirror with the clown nose as part of the premium package. While the E90s cannot be programmed to have the clown nose blink without the alarm installed, the RemoteKey + has a wiring kit to allow for the simulation of an armed alarm, along with some other useful features, while using the factory key fob.

If your car is pre-wired for alarm you are better off just buying the OEM alarm & coding it, rather than spending same amount of $$ on a fake/simulation alarm.

And if you have the capability of coing the alarm - you can also code in all the other options that come with RemoteKey+
