Question On M3 Performance CF Mirror Cover Install ????

Installed M3 Mirrors on my E92. Picked up a set of the BMW OEM Performance CF Mirror Covers also.

I know how they mainly install, but in the box with the covers is a small roll of foam rubber strip with adhesive on back - where does this go???

Did a search didn't find anything

Yeah, I posted this over there too...

I just popped the covers on without using that foam strip as I have no idea where it goes.

Someone that has installed these new must know what it's for
