RWD v AWD Brakes
As far as I know, the i and Xdrive have the same brakes. However, when I drive any i, I feel like the brakes are much stronger than the Xdrive brakes,
Does anyone know why? I have an Xdrive and the brakes just feel sloppy compared to the other brakes. |

They are the same.
I swapped them myself. I also sold my brakes to someone who was RWD. So, I know they're interchangeable. Now, if you're looking at the BBKs those are the same as well. The only difference will be the brake lines. AWD will require longer front brake lines. This was from Stoptech directly.

BMW changed pad material around 2010. New pads have almost no dust but have less initial bite. xDrive is also heavier as mentioned. Also xDrive will not have sport suspension and probably won't have high performance summer tires, which will also reduce braking feel and maximum braking capability.
