Open Lapping HPR - June 23rd - With 106.7 radio station
http://www.highplainsraceway.com/willieb.html
http://www.kbpi.com/pages/wb_race.html High Plains Raceway is NOT JUST FOR RACERS! Everyone is welcome at our Open Lapping Days. Virtually any type of car is allowed and no previous race track experience is necessary. There are NO SPEED LIMITS and NO SPEEDING TICKETS! It’s a fun way to challenge yourself, improve your skills and have a great time in a controlled and safe environment! Thanks to KBPI for sponsoring HPR's "Willie B Day at the track" events! Full day lapping $99. There will be two sessions for cars and one session for motorcyles. Instructors and helmet rentals are available for car participants (sorry, bikers, you guys gotta fend for yourselves!) Something to do tomorrow. Anyone planning on going? I'm debating.

I made it through the first session and then saw steel threads on right rear tire. Time for tires. On that note, recommendations? Daily driver, light track use. Friend of mine said to check out Federals, a cheap alternative. http://www.jt-culture.com/federal-595-rs-r-review/ Thoughts?

Steve, your car deserves good tires.
Look at http://www.tirerack.com/tires/survey...ay.jsp?type=EP Can't go wrong with Michelin Pilot Super Sport either, or Continental ExtremeContact DW.

Alex,
Thanks, the overwhelming response from my Z4MC friends has been the Michelin PSS's, so I'm headed that route. I wonder why they don't show up in the survey results, but I'm not too fussed about that. I still need to read those books you recommended . Are you going to Drive4corners, or just picking up the t-shirt (which rocks)?
