thoughts on painting 313 19"s ?

some of you may have seen my thread last week I posted after picking up my new car. Over the moon with the car, but theres some corrosion starting on both rear wheels. Dealer has been very good about it and were initially going to swap them under the new car warranty (car is 2 and a half years old), it now transpires that the car didnt come from the factory with these wheels on, they were put on after and only carry a 2 year warranty. So ,they have agreed to get both rear wheels diamond cut and lacquered. This is hassle to me, theres no one local who can diamond cut wheels, so it would mean putting car on axle stands and sending them off.
So now im thinking, should I just suggest having all 4 wheels painted in one colour, i think id be happier with that anyway because I dont think diamond cut finish lasts anywhere near as long as painted.

So id be interested in peoples thoughts, has anyone painted the full wheel on 313's yet? what colour would suit my car (its bluewater)

Hmmmm

I guess you could potentially get away with gun metal grey or gloss black

Seen a blue water M3 with black alloys and it look alright

How about BMW Ferric Grey? I think thats the inner colour of these anyway, so it would just mean no diamond cut surface.

There's someone selling a refurbed set on eBay in this colour...maybe you can ask your dealer to do this?

I have these wheels too and they are a bugger to keep mint in diamond cut form. If I ever have to refurb them i'd go down this route.

Couldn't agree with the post above anymore I have the 313M alloys and they are a right pain to keep clean in the diamond cut form
