n52 is dual pipe single exhaust
n54 is single pipe dual exhaust

I don't think the n52 PE is universal to all n52 E9x's, the midpipe length is different between e90's and e92's. OP might want to specify.

I think it is universal. Specially brand new. Yes may be Used is different since it would be cut to exact measurement but even then. If PE is long then you either cut PE abit or stock pipe to fit PE. if the PE is shorter then you leave some more pipe from OEM exhausts.

As for Z4, just call BMW dealer and find out. it should fit but you'll need more modification ofc. All depends on the length. there is only so far you can go. Z4 might be completely different length from the beginning the mid and the end.
