One interesting point on 'Bong' volume:
After I had the Mosconi/Gladen Kit installed Bong volume had increased substantially & I had to set in on minimum. After Sam upgraded my Business Nav to Pro Nav Bong volume dropped & I now have it set to maximum. Initially I put the drop in Bong volume down to the change to Pro Nav but after reading the last few posts in this thread I'm guessing the change is probably down to the reduction in Gain when Sam corrected the settings on my amps. |

Do you have front parking sensors?

Re: 1- PDC is still audible when you turn the volume done. 2- As mentioned earlier, at lower volume, the relative difference b.w front and rear amplification is less, therefore front pdc sound is not HIGH enough that they overcome the rears. 3- Hi-fi coding is done due to take out the equiliser. However it has some implications on the PDC beeps, and hence some custom coding required to bring overall sound and PDC beeps to audible level.

Maybe that's why you only have rear parking sound.
I'm not sure if the PDC beeps corresponds to front & rear and left to right depending on which sensor is getting too close to an object? I have front and rear sensors, but honestly, never really paid enough attention to figure out if it comes out of all the speakers or dependant which area is closer.

Then swap it around and drive towards something with the F/R Fader in the Settings/Tone - Menu all set to the rear. That way you'll know what to expect For me, driving forward towards and object - the distance is easier to judge than the rear..

Not tried the fade method, but I think I can tell there's different beeps coming from front and rear speakers depending where the object is.
Not sure about left or right yet though. Need bit more listening.

Mine only has rear PDC, but I would have thought since the left and right speakers appear to get louder as I reverse towards something, I park my car between two houses at night you see, and when I reverse out the sounds get louder the closer to a wall and they are left or right.
I was assuming a car with Front PDC and Rear PDC would do a similar thing with the sound. Bahh I guess not :-( sorry for the idea..

Hi Guys
Well I spend most of the day yesterday retrofitting PDC front and Mosconi Gladden kit. I have a question about the mosconi. I have put the wireharness in the left side of the car and started at the amp in the trunk to be sure the cables were long enough. But getting up in the front of the car and of course being LHD Theres not much room for the big Black connectors, the work stopped. I know for sure Theres not much room behind the dashboard for those connectors. Where have you put the cables? left or right side? And where did you start? at the amp or at the headunit? And what about the remote power on? I have not seen anything about a cord for that? How does the Amp know when to power on and more important, power off?

You should start at the head unit. Then, if you need to extend the harness because it's not quite long enough it's a lot easier to add wires to the end without the quadralock connectors on it.
You should run the harness down the LH side of the car because the main power cable runs down the RH side. I'm afraid I don't know if the Mosconi harness includes a remote power on wire or not. The harness from Technics does but that also includes a relay for it. |

Yes start at the headunit and run the harness down the l/h side.
It is tight behind the headunit but i managed to squeeze the quadlock down a gap to the right. The amp is auto sensing so no need for a remote turn on. I also needed some extra subwoofer cable as the one supplied was not enough to do both subs |

Hi guys
Thnx for the replys. It was as I expected and was afraid of. I started at the AMP and has now the challenge of getting the quadlocks up behind the headunit. And expected the AMP to sense the power but was not sure. Thnx for clearing that up. And as -Ju- said, My cables was just 10cm short.

Hi guys
After fittings the mosconi-gladden kit yesterday, I have a question about the adjustment. I fitted the amp(with DSP) to power the speakers in the front doors by front channels and the underseats by the rear channels. Doing that, I found out that the rear speakers powered by the HU was almost silent despite that the amp was set at the lowest level possible. I have used the files downloaded from the forum to have a baseline to start from. How do I adjust the levels on the amp to get a bit more Sound from the rear speakers? Any suggestions?
