That will need jigging though, it must do...

I'd put money on the drivers side rear door to body gap being non-existent and that rear drivers side chassis leg being out.

Yup, both airbags did go off. As did the drivers seatbelt and both headrests. My seat also twisted in toward the centre of the car.

Shit the bed, that doesn't look good at all.I suppose the only consolation is that you're safe, well and able to tell the tale.
Having my dogs in the back of my car is always a worry, although there's not a great deal that you can do if someone plows into you!

Glad no one was hurt!! When things like this happen it does make you wonder....As for the people going on about running down to the GP about whiplash claims, it's that kinda of attitude to life that makes mankind proud :

Damn, i have read news stories in the past where the outcome has been a lot worse, in regards to lorry crashes. How did it happen, were you parked up and the truck driver didn't brake?

I was at the back of a queue of stationary traffic when the lorry hit the back of me. It left some quite impressive tire marks on the road and managed to shunt me into the back of the 62plate C Class in front of me hard enough to set off my airbags.

Good news is no one was hurt and the car did a really good job of keeping the passenger compartment in shape, even with the OSR panel and door buckled I still managed to get it opened and shut no problem.

Are you for real?

It must be a joke, as only a complete fuckwit would mean it.

OP sorry about your crash, and sorry the thread was spoilt by this dick.

Mike, the first inch or so is folded back under itself and there is also a crease in the bonnet slightly further in. I doubt it would be any use for an LCI conversion to be honest.

Quite a few lorry accidents happen like that, do they doze off or start day dreaming?

Anyways glad all is ok and nice to hear yet another BMW protecting it's occupants.
