No Fly Zone Arizona Video

My top speed in this event was 121.35 MPH. While it was fun, I was one of the slowest cars at the event. The Highest top speed I saw was 195.31 MPH by a highly modified Nissan GTR.

Were*

I used to be a stickler for spelling and grammar, but once I started to use my phone more, it became harder to correct...now I'm just lazy.

But I was specifically speaking of your launch, it seemed like you were easing into it.

The actual starting line for the 1/2 mile are the orange cones. Because it is a rolling start there is no need for a hard launch. If you want to race the person in the other lane, you accelerate up to a predetermined speed (usually between 30 and 50 MPH) and then nail the gas at the cones. On the taxiway leading up to the runway, they allow you to do a burnout if you so desire. They do it this way because it helps the high horsepower cars to maintain traction, though some still had an issue with it. I was not racing anyone because just about every car out there was way faster than my slow but reliable N51. While it was fun and I am glad I did it, one could almost watch paint dry as my car accelerated.

As I recall, that was a topic of conversation in my pre No Fly Zone post. I suppose I will need at least two miles of straight line acceleration to see if the AA tune raised the speed limiter. But hey, I now have a newfound love and appreciation for corner speed.

Very nice! Would love to have the opportunity to take my E90 onto a runway or strip like this one day.

I was a bit disappointed too, but it is what it is; and short of selling the car or installing a supercharger there isn't much I can do about it.

I've easily hit over 120 based on GPS on road courses so it's surprising you were capped at 120. I don't think this is a delimiter issue, but more aero. If you had another 1/4 mile you should've passed 120. The 328i should top out at 130 for standard and 150 for sport package.

I wasn't capped at 120 MPH my car was still accelerating, but we only had 1/2 mile and that is where they measured our trap speed. I have the AA tune and I am rather certain the delimiter has been raised.
