FS Hexon RR600/700 hybrids
So after dealing with Wayne and getting my RR700s, I decided that I would not send my shitty 2,000km busted ass RB turbos back to Rob for free warranty rebuild. I would instead rather pay Wayne to upgrade them to his turbos. I would at least be able to sell a set of Hexons over the RBS and I also don't really want anyone to install the RBs only to have the same problem a dozen or so others have had with them. This will cost me a lot more in the long run, but I'll sleep better knowing I've sold a pair of superior and reliable turbos.
I was chatting to Wayne recently and I asked him if he could upgrade RBs to Hexon RR600s after a suggestion from Justin aka JD75. He said it will cost $1700 USD. Why will they be hybrids? He will be using an RR600 compressor wheel and an RR700 turbine wheel. What this means is that you're gonna get the spool of the RR600s with the top end of the RR700s! There has been some really lengthy data analysis and discussion on a couple of threads about RR600s and RR700s and which would be more responsive, would RR600s be enough, would RR700s be laggy etc. Well, if you are worried and concerned about which ones to get, then here is your answer! For now, I will be the only one with these. He is extremely backlogged with orders for RR600s and RR700s but he said he will "rush" these out for me, still needing a 4-5 week turn around time lol. I'd imagine it may be three months for this offering if he does indeed offer it in the end. I am chasing $3600 for these, which is the Australian retail price on RR600s, but you will have RR700 turbine wheels. I will need your old turbo cores back once these have been installed in your car. These will be ready in about 6-8 weeks. If you let me know soon, I can also ask them to be ceramic coated I think for about $350 USD while they are being built. I can also get a set of Hexon inlets packaged into the kit for a lot cheaper than retail price too if you need. |

He simply does not have the time to do a mass market RB rebuild program! Can you imagine many customers who blow up their RBs, then send them off, wait around for 5-10 weeks for them to be rebuilt and then sent back??

Good to hear Wayne is willing to do this!
Well done to him and also Hexon. The future looks bright for the company if this is how he is willing to operate |

Good on Wayne for wanting to rebuild them. A new turbo on the market RR650's?? lol..
My mechanic who fitted my Hexons said all the RB's he has ever fitted smoked! Hexons ZERO smoking issues : )
