Ideas on Plasti dip colors for my rims on silver 2008 328xi
I have a silver e90 with stock wheels. I want to Plasti dip them to give it a little sportier look. Any ideas?/ I look for pictures online but I can't find any with the same wheels as I have. Just in case I don't want them all black. I'd like to do a two tone style, and nothing crazy like yellow or purple. Sorry if it has already been asked before. I don't use the site much.

I would just save up and invest in new rims. I tried plasti dip and it just gets boring after a week.

Current wheels look fine. If you want black or grey wheels buy a new set.

Only thing you'll do plastidipping your wheels is make it look cheap.

If you really can't afford new wheels, then I'd go with a gunmetal color.

Just save your money and pick up some nice OEM wheels or aftermarket wheels.

Just plastidip one of them black. Then you will likely see that you don't like it and you'll have invested just a little time and money. I hope you don't think I'm being a jerk. I may be completely wrong, and in that case, you're well on your way to a good new look. But I would start small to see if you actually like it.
It's a $6 experiment. Or maybe spend the $12 to get two cans of different color. Prep is key. Get that wheel squeeky clean. Don't sand or scuff. You don't do that for plastidip (watch the vendor's videos). If you like the look, post pics!

Nope, just leave it stock. Leave the plastidip alone, and get wheels when you can.

The only time I would plastidip my wheels is to protect them during winter. Another cheaper alternative is powdercoating.

Sheesh. Since the thread isn't titled "Should I plastidip my wheels", I won't beat you over the head by telling you that you shouldn't. I did my old stock wheels in black, with glossifier on top, and a light dusting of silver metallizer over that. It was a nice holdover until I got new wheels. Everybody was always surprised when I told them it was plastidip. As long as you don't do them in matte it will look fine.

Black + Glossifier + metalizer = 2 tone
Then apply some wax on top |
