335i PE mod!!!!!!

Hope you all enjoyed some time off

Can someone suggest a place to have the PE mod done this week. I have a couple days off work and want to get it done while I have the time off. Not looking for muffler delete - looking for actual PE mod.

just search on here. i remember seeing a post about a member who was an audio engineer and said it even sounded better than the actual PE muffler.

I second that. L&G would be one of your best options for exhaust work. Especially PE mods.

I actually got mine done at KTM Motorworks. I was going to go to L&G Auto but I had a bunch of other stuff to do at the same time so I brought it to KTM. (When its mechanical KTM is the only one that works on my car)

I cant say much in terms of price because I had other stuff done at the same time but the quality of work was really really good! It sounds great! I actually love it - its not over powering which is what I wanted.

It took a couple hours for me... They removed my entire exhaust to do it as opposed to cutting it at the mufflers. He also open the mufflers at the top so the bottom is completely perfect and in tact. You cant tell by looking at it that the mod has been done.

Just to add on to the PE mod, do you guys recommend doing a resonator delete too? I feel like the PE mod on the e90 isn't "loud" enough (not trying to get muffler delete loud). What are your opinions? Is it loud enough with just the PE mod?

Get catless downpipes to make some gains and it will sound louder and aggresive ( you will be able to hear turbo spool)

noticed you also have a 2011 e90 335i... are you sure you have resonators ? I know my car does not have them ... only secondary cats before mufflers since i am xi

I don't want to end up having to deal with emission tests :/ but I thought all e90s have resonators? I know the e92 has the x-pipe that we don't have. Please correct me if i'm wrong!

Ohh I see. You can always get something called a Downpipe Fix which will allow you to pass. I have not yet got my emissions done as they are due next yr so cant really confirm.

Maybe the pre lci(n54) had resonators . I know that LCI E90 335xi have secondary cats and H pipe before the mufflers and LCI E90 335i dont have secondary cats.

Yeah I did hear about the Downpipe Fix but I heard in Ontario that they are doing sniffers more often. Either way, I'd rather not go down that road.

But yeah, I'll probably get it checked out at the muffler shop when I do the PE mod.

No Sniffer test on cars newer than 1998. So unless your car is older than 98 its an OBD2 ready test which the dp fix will correct.
