The dealers website has a free Carfax. It shows three “minor” accidents. The most recent was in 2017.

Someone needs to buy this one, its at a dealership right across from where I work and I see it at the stoplight every time I turn out onto the road leaving the office. It looks a little rough but has low miles. No idea on accident history or condition and its at a sketchy BHPH dealer, but what could go wrong? I *do* like the green paint on this one.

Haha, not wrong about that.

I was looking through the pictures again, check out the rust on the strut towers. Looks like this one is an import from a northern state:

So whats the deal with this one? Is it just priced too high? Even being AWD this is a nice spec E91 MSport:

Just a little cosmetics it looks like. But hey, a 6-speed manual MSport doesn’t come up very often, RWD or AWD.

There’s some comments earlier in this thread about that car. I don’t remember exactly but I think someone said it’s in pretty rough shape or something?

I got pics of the underside, its missing the engine undertray and it looks like it was ripped off. Beyond that it needs struts, brakes, and tires (rears are no-name imports). Seller was firm at ~20k for a good while. Id be interested in the car, but given how much work it needs and the shipping cost, I wouldnt be comfortable putting more than 12-13k into this one up front - ask is nuts for the mechanical shape, let alone all the dents, curb rash, and interior wear.

Good information. He's dropped the price to $17k now, I still think that's too much for what it needs and mileage. But yikes, needs brakes, suspension, tires undertray, etc.

The search continues

I'll dig the pics up if people are interested, but the things that stuck out to me were as follows:
Pros:
-N52 has had most of the big-ticket things done + the timing chain work
-Spec is great (Its basically perfect for what I want, if there was ever an xDrive to have, this spec would be it)

Cons:
-Tires in the back are no-names and shot, tires in the front are PS4ASes
-No record of brakes being done, rotors likely need doing, fluid and pads should probably be done
-No record of any suspension work, struts looked a little leaky in the underside pics
-No record of transfer case actuator being done, and @ 130k miles I'd expect that to be unhappy soon
-Ripped-off engine undertray + damage to the one near the pass side in the front (looks like it was a road hazard thing, but I'd 100% fix that before driving the car at highway-speed)
-Cosmetic issues (huge dent on the pass-side front arch is the biggest one, doesn't look PDRable to me, plus a bunch of smaller dents, scratches, awful curb rash, and heavy interior touch-point wear)

I'd love the spec, and I wouldn't mind putting the work in or paying the shipping cost to get this one to where I want it... but 17k? Insane ask, needs to be on the other end of the teens for me to consider it seriously. Seller was very rigid at that price. I'd put more energy into trying to negotiate, but I'm still half-hoping I can find a RWD car or cleaner AWD ZSP between now and my need-car-by date... but who knows, maybe I'll get desperate.

For our friends up north. Pre-LCI 335i m sport e91.

It’s completely idiotic to me that we can’t import these cars to the US without jumping through a ton of hoops. Yet it’s perfectly legal for me to chop up two cars to make something nearly identical.

Hadn’t seen this one posted yet.

https://www.atlasmotorsnc.com/invent...-series/11325/

Interesting color combo ( to me anyway!) but no sport package and an auto. Only 85,000 miles though and was in California until early this year. Not sure what I think about the price…

Didn't think a dealer can sell a car with an open recall.

18 hours to go and it is at 6300 bucks. Someone is about to find out that automatics aren’t as valuable as manuals. And cars that can’t be imported to the US are 0 desirable to 3/4ths or more of BAT users…
