Pic request: 162's on standard suspension.
I know there are a few folks out there that have 162's on standard suspension (non-SP). I'd like to see some side view shots with the camera about 1 meter high. If the camera is too high, you can't differentiate the tire gap.

With all due respect, if you drop a car by 10mm you can tell, hard to tell froma photograph, nice car shown, but it looks 'lifted', mainly due to the the fact that 18" tyre /wheel combo have higher 'static' (not driven) height, plus slimmer and wider (due to the tyre and rim is now visually push toward the wheel arch), hence it highlight the wheel arch and tyre gap.
The sport suspension drops it by 15mm which is suttle but can be easily differrentiated. From an visual point of view the 162 is best suited with lowered sport suspension (not 'slammed' tough)

Ivan ill post pictures of mine when i get it (next week or the week after)
It comes with sports suspension and 18" 162. Ill post a pic with and without occupants. Im sure once i have 4 people in the car it will look awesome. I often travel with 2 or more people in the car and from past experience it better to leave room in the wheel arch for passengers. I agree the above car does look lifted but im sure it looks just right when its driven especially if there is 4 people in the car. Not to mention that Sydney is speed bump heaven so I dont think i would slamm my car down to make it look hotter. Not only that i dont want to lose my CF splitters.

Yur non-sp E90 looks sweet with those 162s
thks for the photos, that helps!
1. what type tires did you put in? 2. How was the handling, even without the sport-suspension? 3. Did you stick with run-flats, All-season, or performance? 4. If not run-flats, are you running w/ spare? 5. Are they staggered wheels? thnking of putting std E90 330 17" OEM spider spokes on mine, just doing more homework? thks for the photos it really help us all here! see you at the turnpike! |

1. it came with michelin pilot sport 2. handling is already superb without sport suspension, it is really like magic how bmw keeps body roll to minimum and still produce good level of bump absorsion, I think the 50:50 weight distribution contribute a lot in this 3. run flat all the way! what's staggered wheels? my test drive car had a 17" wheel, is not a big difference with the 162, but in terms of road feedback, I would prefer the 162!! and of course apperance counts too!! cheers |

sorry to sound like an idiot, but if I am putting 162's on a 325i with sports suspension is there anything I need to do besides a basic tires change?
