Changing out a TPMS

Hey guys, I tried running a search on this but couldnt find what I was looking for. Right now my settup has the TPMS, if I were to buy a set of TPMS compatible rims without the TPMS could I have a shop take the sensors on my current rims and put them in the new ones?

I don't know about this tpms compatible tire business, I only heard of tpms compatible rims. I don't understand if your changing tires or rims. if your changing tires, you don't need to touch your tpms as its mounted to your rim. if your changing rims, make sure its compatible with tpms or get an adapter for it like for iForge rims. And you have to take the tires off the old rims to get to the tpms. Then just switch the Tpms to the new ones.

You should be able to have a tire shop transfer the TPMS sensors from your stock wheels without issues.

Yep, I swapped out the OEM rims for aftermarket rims and Discount Tires did it nicely for the sensors...
