Ferrari dropping KERS system
Interesting development....
Will dropping KERS really help Ferrari turn things around? Surely they need that extra boost every now and then? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/moto...ne/8001866.stm |

Losing the weight of the system and using ballast to there advantage will help the balance of the car.

They have to drop KERS to bring back turbocharging. The only way they'll win points this year. FIA will back them that it was the way they interpreted the rule changes !!

It just seems they are taking a major step BACK to improve the car? I now expect Ferrari to be at a further disadvantage in China and can't see them getting the car competitive until the F1 circus comes to Europe at the earliest...

From my perspective - I don't think this will do Ferrari any favours - It's another change the drivers will have get used to. It may have something to do with "their" new diffuser which I'm sure we'll see soon! ;-)

Ah you might be on to something there - it could well be connected to the redesign of the rear of the Ferrari to acommodate the imminent new diffuser
