Navigation: How do I turn off Navigation guidance when no longer needed?

After seeking navigtion guidance, I sometimes want to terminate the request as I figure out where I am going or want to detour.

How do I instruct Navigation to terminate the driving guidance? Thank you in advance.

See the voice commands in the manual. It's something like "voice off" or "navigation off". If you don't like voice command, you can click on the symbol on the left hand side of map that shows an arrow touching a circle (to indicate "destination"), that will disable it.

select the current destination. when te next screen pops up, the destination will have a checkmark next to it. select that entry and just click it. the checkmark disappears. don't select delete entry or you'll have to retype it in next time you want to navigate there.

Just choose the icon on the left side of the map with the arrow pointing to a point an click it, it will then have a cross over it. Navigation cancelled.
