Man that's pricey.. more worth it to get the 335i. But if people are truly attached to their 320/325 and have money to play with.. why not.

Did BMW finally release the 335i Wagon (E91) in the US? Do you know something rest of us do not?

Cheers,

Chuck

$7,000 (plus shipping and installation) and you'll end up with about 25 more hp than a 330 with intake and exhaust.
I'm thinking - no.

You guys beg and whine for more power and when it comes, you complain about the price. Sell your car and get a 335 or suck it up and drive your 325's.

I would be interested in purchasing this setup. I would like confirmation that we could get it working on the 328 engine.

Cheers,

Chuck

i think this would be targeted more towards countries that favour small capacity engines. for eg. the difference in price between a 318 and 320 is USD12k let alone a 325 which would command a premium of 25k usd over the 318.

but still, the supercharger is on the pricey side

I hate to sound like I'm whining, but I'm getting a little tired of people saying, "just sell your 325 and get a 335." First it's not that easy just to sell your car especially in this market and try to find a 335 in good condition in the config you want. Second the 335 is riddled with issues. A simple search through this forum will show it. Not all 335 have issues but a overwhelming amount do. My friend who's a BMW tech even says it's crap. While I don't really agree that's it's crap (in fact is a helluva car), trading up to one has its drawbacks.

I'm not trying to get into some pointless debate. It's a matter of opinion. There are plenty of mods out there that will make you plenty happy for a reasonable price. Every thread about the N52 has someone very rudly stating that that OP should just sell his or her car and get another one. Everyone knows this option already and doesn't need to hear it again and again. [/rant]

There's really no reason to FI the N52 engine when you can just get a 335i. All the arguments about the reliability of the N54 pretty much become futile when you start considering a supercharger for the 325i.

True. FI on the n52 is definitely uncharted territory. I originally wanted to go FI, but reading more about the N52 just made it seem more and more risky. A blown engine isn't worth it at all unless you have the bankroll. That being said I would be very interested to see a solution put to the test.

So far they build 1 car with that kit - 325 with 2.5l engine, it pulls ~295hp. There's also a 2 year warranty on kit itself and some kind of warranty via insurance(didn't quite get it) for engine.

What do you think about the kit? There is no intercooler for the sc as I understand?

I'm assuming that's crank HP and not wheel HP. That's not a whole lot of boost so it might be reliable. I didn't see an intercooler in the parts list. Does anyone wanna try it out? It's quite a chunk of change, but considering what you get, it's not that bad a deal. Personally, I've never heard of these guys so I'm not sure of their reputation.
