f*** me its an absolute animal...
I was going to go for the Revo upgrade but the £850.00 cost and the trek to Daventry swung me over to Superchips Bluefin for £445.00 |

I drove my mates TT RS before I sold my mapped 335D and it was bloody fast, very grippy. He had a 335D before the Audi. He's already had the middle two cats bypassed and now he's currently deciding which 400bhp remap to apply.... I'll pop back and let you know how mental it is then. BTW I'm missing the logic7, DAB & 40+ MPG (now getting 24) from my 335D, but the RS4 is all I wished for.

I think that 0-60 and 1/4mile is very optimistic for 430HP.

Well impressive
Carl, you and your tranny losses, jeez. Believe me you don't notice in the real world of driving 'cos you're gripping like shit to a blanket. So hands up those who purely drive their cars on a dry track all day and never on the road? Anyhow, more importantly Andrew.........cracking car!! |

Helen, Ive not driven an S5 (one of only a few Howdi's i've not) but have been a pax. Felt really quick. But in reality it is not that quick over the 1/4mile. Due to the tranny losses.
355HP S5 crosses the line at the same speed as a standard 335d.

Though I'm happy for you Andy, my anger about this car being the price it is with a relatively modest 2.5T engine is boiling over...
This map kind of makes me glad I spent half as much and bought a 135i... On this one, I'm with Carl!! Matt |

Also what are the tranny losses in the GTR? Things have moved forward since the early quattros. And in the real world when you're going round the twisties, i'd rather have the TT than my 335D |

Carl, did you read what I posted luv. What has 1/4 miles times got to do with driving on the Queen's highways, that was my point. The ground which you can cover A-B is not affected by any tranny losses, probably the same as in the real world, the slush box of the 335d doesn't hinder it?
I had a look again at the TTRS and used their prices aren't too unreasonable? |

The 335d went quicker than 335i round Brunters. 335i went quicker than S5also. Does not matter how much they have evolved. Still 4 driven wheels takes MORE power than 2. I drove the TTS, ok only 270something HP. Felt lacking big style over 60mph.

Wow, Id love to have a go in one, especially mapped - Jonnyc has one now, I bet thats coming along nicely!
And Carl who gives a FF about 1/4 sprints, bar you ?? Just write something consructive and supportive for once please - you always try to put a downer on everthing, and now go and get yourself a proper performance and drivers car! Oh and tranmisssion losses - Its Haldex, so only used when needed, not like a proper quattro like the RS4.

Still turning though mate, and taking power.
I just dont expect a 430HP 4wd car to be that ballistic. Doubt its that much quicker than an RS4?! They aint that quick. Ive driven plenty of performance drivers cars, shame i cant afford 100+k
