CF Di Noc Wrapped my Trim!

After a lot of help and support from fellow members I bit the bullet and did a Di Noc CF wrap on my car. From a noob at just about everything I can say that there is NO way to pay hundreds for somebody to do this, It is easy! Just takes patience and some extra vinyl... Thanks for looking!

X2 nice job - would've personally forgone the shifter but to each their own. How do your edges look?

Looks amazing. How much is the vinyl? Is it hard to take out each piece of the trim and wrap it?

Removing and reinstalling the trim is pretty straightforward - wrapping takes patience

Thanks for the complements!

Edges: nice and straight, I had to redo a lot of pieces but I ordered enough for a small house so I knew I could mess up

Price: I paid 150 something for the vinyl. And as stated above, keep a lot of patience. A lot. And be sure to go easy on the blow drier as you can "melt" it and distort the CF line.

As for the shifter, it got late and I got "wrap" happy. I'm not sure on it yet. I do like my CF iPhone! Haha

It looks good in pictures and you did a great job.

A question - doesn't the whole "fake CF" bother you? To me it is like putting an M badge on a base car.

Never really thought about that, I mostly did it as the sun had rippled and cracked my wood around the shift boot area and it looked horrible. So the only good looking and cheap fix I could find was this. I won't and havent been going around telling people it's a carbon fiber set up. That be wrong.

Haha, I like it, why not wrap it, you can always take it off later.

You mean the whole ashtray assembly or just the top part? I broke the top off mine, wrapped it, then used liquid nails and pressure clamps to set it back then screw back on from the bottom and voilą!

I have to laugh when I tell you, I just put a flat head screw driver in the bottom and pried slowly! And i broke like 10 tabs. Haha. So I just wrapped it (total bitch) and it was a little bit wider so it wedged itself stuck there! Aha

wouldnt bother me, what would bother me would be spending money on real carbon fiber on a street car when the only purpose is looks. when people see this guys car, 98% wont even think to wonder if its real or plastic wrapped. they may wonder about his phone though. it looks much better, i myself hate the wood trim but am not going to pay $600 to change it. maybe one day i will wrap mine also i would go flat black, dont know how that would look but from the options i think that one sounds best, not a fan of carbon fiber either.
