Broadband/Phoneline & TV - What you got?

Hi all

I'm trying to decide if I can be arsed to shop around for a better deal which are almost certainly out there. For more years than i can remember I have the following. I just hate sorting this crap out with those idiots in call centres.

AOL for the internet (£14.99 a month)
talk talk for phone (ave £15/month for all calls)
B T for line rental - (approx £35/quarter)

Then i've a sky HD box + multiroom, no sports or movies, £42/month

What do you knowledgable lot have and how much does it cost?

We have SKY HD plus another SKY + box, broadband, line rental, phone line all of SKY for around £70. Missus uses phone alot for work and that accounts for around £20 quid a month.

Sky everything. Phone line rental, calls, broadband, HD TV (no sport or movies). Cant get Virgin anyway.

Never had a problem they never sorted, just started getting 0845 and 0870 free of charge as well. Free Customer services and mostly deal with call centre 2 miles from me. Monthlies average £60 or thereabouts.

Virgin for TV, phone and broadband. Broadband is a bit dear but it is 20mb, unlimited download, and I usually get near to the actual advertised speed - unlike the rest. I've got the XL TV package which gives an HD box for all the HD channels (the terrestrials, Living, Discovery, NAt Geo, Sky 1, etc.)

The phone has the usual free calls at weekends, nights, and calls to Virgin mobiles.

Sky Sports is an add on but without the Sky Sports it's about £58 per month.
Why are you paying £42/month for Sky if you don't have Sports or Movies? What are you getting for your cash?

Bear in mind that when you scrap AOL as broadband provider, you'll have to re-install all software to your computer to get rid of AOL as, despite what it says, it doesn't un-install from your computer properly and interferes and ruins all other settings.

Dunno, just assumed that was the going rate -includes £10 a month for the multiroom, and £10 a month for the HD.

Despite doing a lot of work with Sky we only have Freeview and BT broadband.

Can get Sky half price (and free installation) but just don't watch enough TV to justify it.

BT phone line (about £12)
Sky HD (everything except sports) & mid-package Broadband (£62.50)

Really fallen out with Sky over a £4 movie so, when I can be arsed, am going to move my Broadband on principal (it's the only thing I can realisticly take away from them). Having done a quick search it seems O2 had a cracking deal at about £7p/m.

Hardly ever use the landline and we both have a gazillion free minutes on our mobiles (through my work) so use them all the time.

Paul, that £42 is a complete rip-off if you don't get sports or movies. It must be an old price plan and you are paying through the nose for basically, nothing.

Time to change methinks - even if it's just complaining to Sky or switching to one of their advertised - and much cheaper - offerings.

Sky for everything other than broadband, I had it when the BB was free if you had TV and phone, but they are so poor that I can't risk it.
They won't even give you your login and username which makes somethings really tricky.

TV is around £88 which is far too much, Full pack, HD, second box + second HD.

Zen for broadband, they are awesome.
