Thanks guys.
I just keep thinking about that horrible ass DA. It was like this event wasn't meant to happen.

Yup. Normally, with a 9.6 second 60-130...your car should be trapping close to 120mph. With my 9.38 second being so close to yours, its no surprise our results were very similar. Your 1.6x 60' times killed my 1.9x, and beat my ET by less than .04 seconds. That is damn close! My trap was almost 2mph faster which helped make our times so close. Driving around town today, the car feels so much faster than up there. I can run 11.8s down here on my daily driver 555Rs with 91 octane/meth, on map#7, 28psi tire pressure, no warm up burnouts. We should definitely make it to Sac one of these weekends when it is not raining AND cool temps. Its really too bad none of the other tunes made it to Famoso for some comparisons.

Famoso is at approximately 650 ft above sea level but the hotter it gets, and the more humid it is then the DA gets higher. So, instead of daing at 650 above sea level, I was racing at 2100. DA is based on 3 things: Temperature Dew point (humidity) Absolute Pressure The ultimate race day is low temp, no humidity and high pressure. 60 ft is your launch. It doesn't matter how much power one has. If they can't put it to the ground then they'll just spin in place. I've seen a Ferrari Italia get a 60 ft of 2.2 and do an 11.6. Put drags on that thing and he'll get into the 10s. Quote:
No, I think they are slower than some. The 1-2 shits are so torquey that it's sketchy to shift fast so I slow it up a bit. Especially after launching like that.

IDK what it is. I think its the luck of the draw. I almost feel like bringing it to the dealer. My car has low mileage stock clutch still. Ive been driving stick for a while now so I know its not me. I can get into anyone elses car and hit 2nd and come out clean but in my own car i either have to slow the shift up to avoid a potential grind or need to shift in a weird way and it feels notchy and kinda bucks on engagement. Hard to explain but its not clean. |

I never go to the track on just 91 octane.
Even though 91/meth will most likely be fine, I never chance it because the engine is being put through so much. I added MS109 to my tank.

compared to the snick-snick shift in my mustang under heavy load, second gear in this Getrag box is scketchy for sure -- feels like the synchros are struggling to catch up on a immediate shift. |

Nicely done. Thanks for the vid.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

Again, fantastic job Craig!! Especially under those conditions.. I heard there was a GTR that ran 9's at 140+mph!! Those things are ridiculous..

True. That thing was just plain plain SICK! Driving a 9 second car to and from the track is unbelievable!

.... a 9 second car that cost just slightly more than an M3..... I have to seriously look at a used one of those. It must have been completely modded.

There's no way that the stock trans could hold that power.
