How to turn on procede valet mode?

Taking the car to the dealer. Is this the 'transport mode' in command center?

I have cleared the codes using the accelerator and put the car to map 0. Its been a few days so the drive cycle test should have been completed.

I just want to make sure the procede doesn't interfere with their computers.

Just take it off, it takes 20-30 minutes for everything.

My SA is OK with it, but just have to make sure it doesn't interfere.

+1

Once you do it once, it shouldn't be more than 10-15minutes, and you'll feel better with it off while at the dealer.

I timed myself taking it off/installing at a racetrack...about 5 minutes hood open to hood closed.

Map 0 is valet mode and it wont interfere but best to remove it.

It looks like the other beat me to the answer, but just to clarify: Valet mode is stock mode, which is accessed by going to map 0. Transport mode is a reduced rpm mode that is accessed via the command center. Two totally different things.

Also if you're fling the car in, be sure to turn off the CAN clearing functionality so the dealer can connect thier tools

Does CAN clearing work in Map 0?

When RPM is equal to 0, there is no CAN activity on ANY map. So realistically, the DME can be reprogrammed no problem since the engine is always off. The only time you really need to go into valet mode (with CANclear off) is when using a diagnostic tool while the engine is running.

Now it's starting to make sense how this whole CanClear works.
Thanks for clarifying it.

Thanks for the info. All did was leave it on Map 0. I would have taken it out but its 10degrees outside and i would probably end up breaking something in the ECU. I just took the DCI off which was easy.

Just got back from dealer, not a word about tune.
Following was performed:
Standard Scope Software check (Was a bit nervous about this one)
Oil Change
Brake Fluid Change
Wiper Blade Replacement
Air Filter replacement

Thank you shiv for an amazing product.

Just in case in case my SA was not in, i did a walk in not an appointment. Also I wanted to remove the DCI and revert back to stock. I am not a fan of the whoosh noise and did not really feel a difference in power.
