Thanks for all your help guys!!

Creaminz,

Reverting back to stock DVs wasn't hard at all.....took all about 30 in and out! So if you think that your cp or BOV is leaking. Try doing this and see......

ok so the leak was on the BOV to stock CP connection or did you have an aftermarket CP/BOV?

It's wasn't the connection at all....it was the BOV diaphragm inside the actual horn/unit. It happens from normal wear and tear according to AA. I've had it for 4 years now with no issues. Plus I think that AA BOV is old technology as far as the valves in the horn.....

Oh well.....my Stett cp with DVs should be here sometime next week or so.......

I just experienced the same problem. I took my car on the dyno and pull a max of 328HP with full bolt-ons and a PROcede. I noticed the same hissing at WOT too but actually saw it when on the dyno. I adjusted the bov bolt to tighten it and it helped but still leaked. Going to stock cp/dv today and dyno again.

Ya, I don't think that the bolt on top of the BOV is going to help any, if at all. I spoke to AA personally, and they didn't mention anything about adjusting the bolt on top of the BOV at all........

How long have you had your AA BOV? Either way, AA BOV is old technology anyway, I'd upgrade it to either Synapse or Forged DVs (which is what I have now, with Stett CP). I'm loving my set-up right now, holding 16+ psi.......

Hope you resolve your issue, it just sucks that you had to find out on the dyno.......

GL to you!

I just did a run with my stock dv and pulled 16psi it took a few pulls for the procede to tune but it worked perfectly, except now I think my clutch is slipping. I miss the sound of the bov though.do you hear anything with the fdv? How much was that setup?

Damn! How much is a clutch for our cars? I drive an AT, lol.....

Stett cp with black Forged DVs are $595 + shipping. During WOTs and full load, I can still hear a little 'swoosh' when letting off the throttle. But definitely not as loud as a BOV. The sound is very subtle, you have to be listening for it to hear it really......

I don't understand why people think stock DV are no good for FBO. I run upwards of 19 psi on stock DV with no problems. If anything the forge DV caused problems because the pistons inside were sticking.

Clutchs alone are about $600-$2000 then if you add flywheels, about another 600.

Well, I read there were some issues with the stockers leaking, not saying that it's no good, but I guess there might be more chances of it leaking vs. forged DVs?

Also, the sticking of the pistons on the DVs, do you mean that part where you can open the DVs and change the springs and add more plates? Or another part of the DV? I thought the sticking might have to do with the spring, so maybe if they changed it to the other spring that came with the DVs it'll solve that issue.....Assuming that we're talking about the same thing....lol.

+1. Running stock DV at 17 psi with no problems.
