Not only does it make more power than the SSTT but they are vastly diferent. You really can't compare the two. Just look at the throttle response changes, the smoothness of the lower RPMs and the richer air to fuel ratio. The SSTT is a great product but you get what you pay for.

Everyone here talks about raw power, but much of my utility preference is based on how smooth the power can be accessed. BMW should have made the car like this (post-flash). I can understand that one should pay for increased power, but it is ridiculous that you have to pay to smooth the power and remove the jerkiness. However, I would pay $1k just to remove the jerkiness.

I have yet to read or hear about anyone being unhappy with the tune nor I have heard of anyone having problems or issues with it.

That is why you pay the premium.

Hope this helps.
Hi..I'm here in S FLA...Which shop did you use for the Dinan (other than the BMW stealership)

There is a place about 40 minutes north of Miami called Foreign Affairs.

Dinan recommended them over Braman BMW in downtown Miami.

Still 100% trouble free and loving the Dinan flash!

For the OP, is your 335 a manual or auto? Keep reading in various posts about jerkiness in the throttle down low. I've got an MT and can't say that I've ever noticed anything that I'd deem unacceptable. BTW, I'm still on the sidelines until Dinan gets CARB certified - then I'm in.

MT

The jerkiness we keep referring to is not unacceptable but once you have the flash you see a big improvement. There is nothing wrong with spam...until you try fillet mignon.

Why wait? Your car will not need a smog check for at least 5 years. By then Dinan will have their CARB certification. Regardless the car will pass a sniffer and besides the dealer nobody would know that you had it on your car.

Sorry to revive and old thread...but I noticed that the numbers you posted were using the STD correction factor. The STD factor is known for over-inflating rwhp numbers. The most common and standard correction factor used to compare numbers across the country (and world for that matter) is the SAE cf. While still not 100% accurate for comparison's sake, it's better than the others. The point I'm trying to make is that the 284 number is actually not that high if you use the SAE cf, and therefore your Dinan number is probably not that high either. Can you have the shop run both numbers SAE??? The net difference should still be about the same 45-50 rwhp.
