Coding question, E90 rear view mirror alarm bulb
I have a 2011 E90 that did not come with an alarm but there is an armed indicator light module mounted on the bottom of my interior rear view mirror. Does anyone know if this light can be coded to turn on and continue flashing when the car is locked even though there is no alarm system installed? It would be convenient to acknowledge that I locked the car and might deter thieves if they see the flashing light.

Use to be able to just activate the alarm and it would work. Did this on my e46. But not sure it works on the e90
