I think the liberty is headed to NY, maybe SC too? I just did a search for ships going to NY.

Liberty is going to Charleston; but 800 and winner's cir still show nothing for me...been waiting since 01-16; looked on WWL put in VIN nothing...hope it's on there anyway...have to keep being optimistic...hurry up and wait!

-Ordered my 335i on the 19th of January.
-Received VIN on the 21st
-Got a call today from the Dealership stating that the car has been produced and
awaiting to be shipped from Bremerhaven.

Anyone else on the AIDA?

It seems that the dbh logistics website lists the AIDA as leaving on 1/26 from Bremerhaven, ultimately bound for Port Hueneme. It looks like its one of the "rare" W&W ships which go to the west coast.

On the W&W website, it doesn't arrive (and leave) from Bremerhaven until 1/30.

An interesting difference of opinion, no?

Ultimately, it's supposed to be a 24 day trip from Germany to California -- seems like a quick journey compared to NYK...

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

My dealer just called and said my car was getting on a ship. Hopefully that means the Liberty He says he will find out for sure in the next day or two.

As of this morning, nothing on the WW tracking site and the 800 message still says its awaiting transport. Hopefully that changes in the next 24-48 hours.

FWIW, it took 2 days for the 800 number to change from "waiting at the port" to "in transit to final destination" for shipping on the Otello.

You think it would only take 2 days to get from NY when the ship docks to DC for Pickup? I thought it took 7-14 days to go from unloading to owner pickup?

Since you work for BMW you obviously know the process better than I do...but I found it surprising you expect 2 days from port to delivery...especially with one of those days being a Saturday (I thought the VPC only sometimes worked Saturdays).

Anyway, I hope you're right. It's also my understanding that cars that are already SOLD are listed as priorities and get processed first at the VPC.

Lastly, here's a link to the Otello thread if you'd like to post there...

I've heard that it takes much longer than 2 days, more like 10 days, as the port is another full inspection, installation of accessories / options, etc. Depending on where you are on the list of cars as they come off, there is some staggered effect...

Still no info for my car. It doesn't show up on the WW website. I'm starting to get pissed. Went to port on the 17th.. and my dealer is clueless, of course.

Never mind. The guy at the 800 number told me it left on a ship yesterday the 29th. It is going to the east coast, not sure which city though. Any ideas what boat it may be on? My worthless dealership seems to be no help.
