Curious... are you doing an N54 xDrive setup? or RWD? I just drove a beast N54 xDrive the other day and its seriously making me contemplate going N54 since I could keep the xDrive rather than doing the entire M3 drivetrain. Hope your build is going well

Yessir, the build is trucking along! We started the engine last week and things are looking good! Just finishing up the wiring and then we'll move on to body and paint.

Interesting. I blew out a front axle just recently and was driving RWD... man it was pretty awesome. Car felt more alive. I'm getting desperate with a swap. I can't seem to find the proper M3 donor. I dig your swap... it sounds perfect. I had tunnel vision with going only M3 or 335i xDrive in 6MT, both swaps hard to find. Post some pictures of progress dude!

Just 1 point of advice IF you go the engine swap route. MAKE SURE YOUR DONOR IS A 4 DOOR!! Or you'll be assed out like me because I had to buy TWO donor cars!!! fml Also, you need to do custom wiring to make your 5th door (trunk) work properly. I'm pretty particular about stuff so I literally paid the price to buy another donor car so I'd have the correct harness and get OEM functionality.
