Canada: benefits from ethanol and flex fuel

May sound a little dumb but here I go:

I bought a used jb4 with flex fuel harness on it. I left it unplugged and fuel open loop set to zero

Here in Canada we can not have E85 but our premium fuel (91) has around 10% of ethanol in it.

Can I get any benefits from plugging the flex fuel wires and using the small amount of ethanol?

And that's how rumors get started...

There actually are E85 pumps in Canada; I fill up at a local one weekly. Google E85 along with the name of the city you live in and see if there's any stations near you that have it.

The (up to) 10% ethanol in our premium gas won't make a noticeable difference, with or without the Flex Fuel wires.

My bad, I should have written in Québec province... There is no E85 pump in Québec province.

1.6 gallon of ethanol in a 16 gallons fuel tank won't make a difference in any way?

If so I will stick with ethanol free gaz such as V-power

All fuels have up to 10% ethanol even in the US.

Not all fuels. In Canada Shell has a zero ethanol premium gas, and I have seen many gas stations in the USA with no ethanol fuels (separate pump usually and clearly marked)

Im assuming this is based on state laws ?
Never seen any fuel with no ehtanol so far. I have been to more than 10 states in the US.
