Noise from top of dash when fan is on higher

Hi All,

When I turn my A/C/heater fan, there is a loud unhealthy blower noise coming from the top center of the dash.

The noise gets louder as I turn up the fan speed and/or when I turn on re-circulate air.

Does anyone have any guesses what this might be?

It's not my blower fan under the glove box because I checked that already and I'm concerned it might be related to one of the many flaps behind the dash related to the A/C/hearter system.

Any help appreciated
