Will satellite(SIRIUS/XM) radio still work after install of Dension 500S?

Hello all,

I am new to the site and joined due to the tremendous amount of knowledge and shared experiences. I am interested in upgrading my 07 328XI with CCC professional (without CDC) to integrate iPhone/iPod. I have looked and the choices and decided on a Dension 500S. I wanted to know if I install the gateway, will my satellite radio still work. The folks over at BAVAUTO said that I can use part 65 11 0 439 429; however, I will loose my satellite radio. Any advice on this? Should I opt for the pricey 6FL?

It uses the CDC interface I don't see why that would disable
your satellite radio.
I think they are blowing smoke in order to sell you there product.
might as well get the the 500s bt that does a2dp to.
With all the OEM stuff adding something does not mean you loose something
else.

That was my reasoning as well. My car is already pre-wired for a CDC. Thanks for your response. Also, if I get the 500S bt, can I still use my factory bt and use the 500s bt for streaming music?

I talked to Dension it seems you can .
It has something to do with the dip switch settings
but I don't have one to verify it.
They do answer questions some times the answer
can be delayed.

you can get oem parts from ebay and they will cost same as dension
