A wider tire profile is the opposite of a stanced look. When people stance, it's when they put a bigger wheel on their car than it's meant for and therefore need negative camber to fit the wheel in there.

If you are sticking with stock suspension and everything else, then just get a wider tire and bigger wheel. It won't be stanced at all, but that's probably a good thing.

I was confusing stance with just a drop, to get rid of huge fender gap, but this is extreme. Thanks mate, yeah I don't really want that.. Perhaps I would be inclined to lower it a notch in future .. But I don't fancy stance'd , now that I know what it means (kind of)

Your ride sits quite nice, is it stock?

Also I'm not sure about what kind of offsets I want, I guess anywhere in 30 region would do?

The offset of a wheel is the distance from the hub mounting surface to the center line of the wheel. Google is your friend.

I have M sport suspension and it sits pretty well, but the front needs a little drop because of wheel gap. Theoretically, if you got a thicker side wall, it would fill up more of the wheel well, but may not look as good because the tire is thicker. It won't be drastic though. Your choice.

What year, model do you have. It varies what you Wang for e.t.

hi, can anyone confirm i can put 225/40/19 on e92 front? and 255 40 19 back? i want as much sidewall as possible. i don't care about width. i care about comfort and smoother bouncing on bad roads. i would try to go even 225 45 and back 255 45 too, if i can, but i think that sidewall might be too much....did anyone tried that on 19 wheels?

I've got 2007 e92 320d m sport ... I guess if I go for 8.5 front and 9.5 rear it'll be ET30-35?

I saw in another post somewhere, this guy had his wheels /tires replaced to 19" and the garage put in wrong/wider profile (40 instead 35) on passenger side rear. Fender gap was definitely small not sure about the ride or whether he had rubbing. Guess it depends if you are running the stock suspension it should be OK.
