Formic Acid

Im replacing my starter next month and I might in the same time upgrade my Big DIsa valve with the I6 automotive upgrade kit.

Is it worth it? I don't have any bad disa valve symptoms but Im scared it will break later on. My car is a 330I 2006 with 110 000 Miles

They said I need Formic acid to re-seal the unit... where can I get that? can I use something else?

If you can't understand it's because you can't answer my question

To Axiom - it helps to "melt" and weld the plastic back together once you reseal it

No need to be snarky. We do know what you are talking about. You asking for this specific acid on here makes no sense.

Why don't you contact someone who actually did the procedure?

Hassmaschine, true. That's why im not sure to do it yet. Lol seems pretty difficult to crack open the disa valve and re-seal it

Well, initially you didn't quite state it like that. But yes, it does make sense to ask here.

Have you considered some other method of welding plastic? JB weld?
