I would consider it at that price. I would like to see how much faster it will be than the SSTT. Did you get the flash? Are you going to Union Grove with everyone in a few weeks?

i havent gotten it yet ive been playing phone tag with service guy to set up a date. im hoping to get it by wends. i didnt know about the meet but ill look it up and see if i can make it

BOO-YAH just got it installed little less than 2K with labor and tax. took about and hour or so. only drove it around for a lil but that fucker kicks. gotta eat and go to work but ill write my review in a couple of days when i get to ride around in it. check back around friday for the review

alright i know i said friday but hey, i cant stop mashing on my gas pedal to really see if it was worth it. ive driven it a total of 30 miles or so we a couple wot. first off, the sound is waaaay meaner than stock. at top end it the sound it makes puts a smile on my face. secondly it feels like the pedal is a little bit more sensitive but it just could be a mental thing (me being more aware that i have more power at the pedal). but in anycase it wont take long to get use to. also i notice that the car when cruising kicks to the next gear around 3k. i think the comp. has to "re-learn" hows your driving style is and that it will eventually go away.
another thing i noticed is that when cruising at 80mph i believe there is more engine noise cause the tach is kept around 2100+K. at any rate the purr of the engine isnt bother-some but more assuring letting you know that if u want to mash it, itll be ready for you. also from a dead stop stop to wot u can really feel the boost kick once it hits 5K its off and running 60 comes up pretty fast....... and 100 even faster.
i feel the steering gets a little loose do to the rear suspension giving which inturn raises the front wheels. i am little worried about the engine oil become too hot even thought i have the factory oil cooler. when i was beating on it the oil temp reached 250 (dead in the middle of the gauge). i am use to the gauge only going as far as 1 maybe 2 slashes dead of center. i am trying to keep this car as long as possible and am wondering how hot it can run before it becomes a damaging factor to the engine.
this mod is great fun, when i took my brother for a ride he started to laugh when i did some 0-60 pulls. however im not sure if its worth the 2k pricetag. its reassuring that i have the warranty which is what i guess im really paying for but when i put on another aftermarket part other than dinan it might void their warranty if something were to happen and it were traced back. i called dinan today to ask them if i were to put on another companys part (I/C, exhaust,downpipes) in conjuction with the flash and if it would nullify their coverage, but no one has answered me back. ill give them another call tomorrow. depending on what the answer will be and thinking like them i dont see them keeping the warranty with another companys parts.
it might be better to get a piggyback system and hope nothing goes wrong cause wed both be in the same spot. but youd have more money and horses. i wonder if the longevity of the engine with dinan flash would be longer since it isnt pumping out as much as the other systems? but only time will tell. guess u need to pay to play. more review to come as time goes on

give patrick bmw a call and ask for kurt, nice guy and is really into the dinan tune. and if u do get it make sure to remind them that its for 1600 cause when i got the tab they tried to charge me the full 2k. i told the service guy that kurt said it would be 1600 and they changed it right away

Great! I have an appointment to get my flash at Patrick and the Dinan Exhaust for This coming Friday! I've talked to Kurt and he was very nice and informative! I'll let you guys know after the flash!
