mine's going to Assael in Monrovia.. I guess you might get your car before me then. I wonder why they stop at San Diego and not just drop the cars off at Long Beach.

These car-carrying ships transport BMWs, Mercedes, Porsches, and Volkwagens; all from Bremerhaven, Germany. Each ship holds about 5000 cars. The Vehicle Prep Centers (VPCs) for Porsche and Volkswagen are in San Diego, the VPC for Mercedes is in LA, and of course, the VPC for BMW in Oxnard. So, they stop in those ports according to which cars they have onboard.

I'm guessing it'll be about the same time. Both are about the same distance from Oxnard/Port Hueneme (give or take 10 miles). Yours is just a little more inland.

Wow. Don Juan is going to Nova Scotia before Manzanillo. Manzanillo is the port right at the Atlantic entrance to the PanCanal. Manzanillo is a common stop, but Nova Scotia is a very different port stop. I have never seen it, so that is interesting to see.

Yeah, I bought my current car in California, and there wasn't a manual on the lot I don't think. At the time I was irritated since I had always driven sticks and it was to be my first new car, but I had just moved to California and the dealer said "trust me, you don't want a manual in the traffic out here" (I'm from Colorado)... he was right, an auto was a good purchase for commuting in the Bay Area... now I'm back in Colorado and the lots actually have sticks on them... hell I test drove a beautiful white manual 335i coupe... At any rate, I should have made them look into other dealer inventories in the area/region... I might have found something I could compromise on... probably would have only ended up with more options than I really wanted, but who knows...

You know, while the anticipation is killing me, I am gonna be thrilled when I pick up this car. I hear the break-in period is 1200 miles, so I won't be stompin' on it right away (it will be hard to behave), but that will be the next little "waiting period"... I've already ordered black grilles and painted side reflectors. I think I'll probably end up doing the front aero lip and M3 rear spoiler as well. Also will tint it out right away and clear bra it up.
