Body color grills?
Trying to decide if I want to do body color grills on my car. I want to keep the chrome slats but can't decide if I want to leave the chrome or go with something a little different. Last shot is just because she was looking pretty.

I think if they're isn't much chrome on the car then it can look good, but if it goes with other chrome accents then it can look out of place. Also it's whatever the hell you want want. I kind of like it. The chrome on my 2011 always seemed out of place because the rest of the accents a flat finish.

I'd leave them as they are, it's not like you have anything else that personalize it. The bike rack, splitters, deck lid lip, upgraded wheels and BMWCCA badge are plenty.

It's like saying a fart can exhaust and the PE exhaust are both ricey since they are parts that have been swapped out. |

I see your point. Without the shadowline trim, gloss black grills do tent to look somewhat out of place. Looking at your pictures again, I see your reason for considering the color matched grilles. The chrome mustache is a bit over the top.

I just figured the car has a little bit of a darker look going on, and thought making the grills a little darker might look good. Honestly I think until I see it in person, I don't know if I'll like it or not. Sometimes I like the chrome and other times I don't.

I had the same dilemma, OP. I hate the way the chrome mustache looks and with just about any other color besides Monaco Blue I think the flat black looks great, but our cars are just too dark - so I went with body colored grills. I think it looks great.

I have matte black grilles and chrome window trim on my car, and I think it works. Whether or not the aesthetics work out correctly depends on the rest of the car. Black grilles work on mine because it's black interior and exterior
