Finally got confirmation my car's on the Isolde. Due in Port Hueneme on 10/23, which means I might get the car before Halloween.

Time to go figure out all those tracking tools.

Once the ship leaves the channel, you can track her via http://sailwx.info. That sight is very slow for me at the moment, so I can't confirm whether or not your ship will be displayed on the sight, but you can go there and search for the callsign SLKB.

I know it's a month away, but at least it's moving now as opposed to the last week in the port.

Heh, no problem, I'm kind of a geek so it's no trouble. Mine is arriving at Port Hueneme on October 6th (I'm on the Traviata). I'm hoping to take delivery of the car by the middle of October.

KevinO, Do a search on Isolde on this forum. I helped track her back in April. You will find a lot of info on that thread on how to follow her as she transits the PanCanal and then on to port Hueneme. At that same time, I also tracked Hojin. You can do a search on that ship for the April time period, too, and find lots of tracking info.

my car has been waiting for vessel since monday morning.. but my CA hasn't gotten back to me for a few days regarding a ship..

i hope my car made it on board in time..

are these vessels ever bound for NY/NJ ports?

if so then my car def won't be on it since i am in new england.. but i could be wrong..

does anyone one know where east coast deliveries disembark?

Sailed on 9/26.

A week seems pretty standard between arriving at port and ship sailing.

I found out what ship I was on by checking this site and putting my VIN in the auto cargo tracking section:
http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/cargoTrack.do

Apparently, it often will show up there before the BMW systems get updated.

btw where exactly on the site did you input the vin #? i only have a partial vin.. not in its entirety... will that still work?

I think you need the whole VIN. You put in the auto cargo tracking area. One of the humans at BMW (800-831-1117) should be able to give you the whole VIN if you have a production number.

I wouldn't expect it to if your car only got to the port on Monday. But it's likely that say this coming Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday, the tracking site might have a ship name for you while BMW is still telling you it's at the port.

The Isolde pulled into Port Hueneme this morning. So now it's just a question of how long through the VPC and up to San Jose.

I'm hoping I'm in the car before Election Day. Maybe by Halloween, but I'm guessing that's pushing it.

Just saw my car at the dealer... It had just come off the truck. They are going to PDI today and it should be ready for pickup tonight!!!!
