Talking Just sold my jag!!

Precisely four weeks of Jaguar ownership has come to an end..... Absolutely nothing wrong with the car but it wasn't my 'bag'!

It has just been driven off into the sunset and I am £2200 better off!

Beers on me

Did I make money? Short answer no but I didn't loose much. I paid £2000, taxed it for 12 months and had a basic service -total outlay was £2350. I got £2200 for it. I did 'make' some money on some business miles which I wouldn't have otherwise got so I am out of pocket by a few quid only - but what a rich and rewarding experience it was

Next.... well. I binned the Jag XK8 idea and I think I may get my 'sensible' head on! However, there is a lovely light blue 2002 Merc CL500 on Ebay for £10K - mmmm

They are so cheap. I found a 56 plate one on Autotrader for just over £20k the other day

Well done Peter You haven't done bad really. Good luck in your new car search!

My Midgie could well be going today I really want a 2002, but know the search will take a while to find right one at right price, hence the Midgie must go first, if she does go I will be very sad to see her and go and the prospect of having only this E39 for a while doesn't seem a good one , so at last minute I may well decide I'm keeping my MG...

Pah, Peter and Steve A are complete amatures at swapping cars compared to me only three years (not quite) been legal to drive and too many cars, often more than one at once

"Precisely" four weeks is only 28 days. However, the two weeks prior to picking up my car (24/11/09) certainly felt longer than any fourteen days before so you may be onto something.

I should have made myself clearer in the first place, I apologise. It was in fact precisely 27 days, 23 hours and 43 mins of Jaguar ownership.

All clear now?

replacement is still being narrowed down.....

Shortest ownership - ST3 7 weeks (£300 profit!) Jag XJ6 4 weeks

Owned in last say 3 years for arguements sake -

MGB / 1967 Alfa Romeo Spider (kind of) / Porsche 911 / BMW 330Ci Sport / Porsche Boxster S / Porsche 944 / BMW 318iS Coupe (daily driver) / Mazda MX5 / BMW E30 325i Convertible (project) / MG Midget 1500 / BMW 520i (daily driver)

So thats 11, 12th will be arriving shortly

Think it's a rather impressive list, maybe more for it's size than it's prestige
