I have a E90 - Jet Black. I want it to glisten... Zaino or Pinnacle. FULL exterior. I'm looking for someone with a tried and proven track record on black cars. This means that you've done a good number of multi-stage exterior details using these products and have testimonials of your work that I can reference. If you swirl my car, i'll lynch you.

Anyone have anybody that they would suggest?

just do it yourself, you are not going to screw anything up. If anything you'll save a few bucks and have a really big smile knowing that the outlook of your car came all from you.

Claybar is easy, just wipe back and forth. Don't drop the claybar, if it hits the ground buy another one.

The rest is just wax on, wax off. Don't apply wax/polish in circles, just nice up and down lines. When it comes to zaino, use little of it it does not need to be applied on thick.

AFter one or two details on your car, you will have your own proven track record.

There is lots of helpful info in the detailing section. I suggest you do some re-search and detail your own car. A black car requires lots of attention and to have to pay $150-$300 every time you need a detail is pointless when you can just learn how to do it yourself.

I suppose. I'm anal about this car though. I've never owned black and thisis an absolute PITA to keep looking clean. My wife was going to buy me the porter cable thingie... but, eh... I think i'm to amature for it. I've read so amny forums now it's made my head spin.

I've always been simpleton, used waxes like liquid glass(Which is a whore to put on and get off by the way) and carbright - which is simple, but doesnt last.

I want my black to look like a mirror, and keep that look for as long as possible. Thats why I figured I would get someone to do it with the right products.

Anyone up for having a bunch of beers and some steaks and doin a newbie walkthrough to detailing? hahah.

Im probably just as anal about my car if not worse. So I took the time to read the sticky in the DIy on how to take care of your car and holy shit I only spent about 300$ in products and Ive detailed my car every week since and still have years of product left! I couldnt imagine paying the detailer guy 200$ every time again for the life of me! thats 800$ a month i save!
