BMW Paint Scratch Remover Kit

Hey all,

Anyone here used BMW's Paint Scratch Remover? My local dealer carry this new product, it is sold as a kit and includes 2 polishs, buffing cloth, and a few peices of sand paper. Part number is 51 91 0 410 163

Anyone?

THx

Must be for wet-sanding down the overpaint on the touchup.

Don't buy that shit. Get Langka from Bavarian Auto online. It come with everything you need and fills in scratches and pits like no other. I already repaird 2 paint chips. It is not going to be perfect but there is no sanding and the height is smooth like OEM paint. You still need the paint but thats it.

Be careful when doing this. I had bumper holes courtesy of my friendly dealer's license plate install. I bought spot putty, 2000 grit sand paper, and BMW Titanium Silber #354 paint and clearcoat set.

First i filled in the holes with spot putty, smoothed it out. Then i sanded it down, then i put touch up paint on the red spot putty areas. Then i sanded, wet sanded, sanded.

long story short, it was a lot of work, and quite frankly, sanding sucks and you may sand down to the bottom revealing bumper/metal. The paint on the e90 is not very thick from my experience.

The kit I recommended it easy to do and requires no sanding to the bumper. You would be foolish to sand the paint and make a small repair now more costlier than before.
