The important bit is the straight six part - the engine in my 218 bhp 530d is infinitely smoother and more refined than the engine in my last car (320cd). For me BMW = straight six - be it petrol or diesel (sorry to everyone with 4cylinders) This is going to be very popular - especially with company car drivers. I don't care though - I want petrol again - and a manual gearbox |

Just been to my dealer - my car will arrive with them next week and it already has a registration number
Unfortunately, it will have to sit with them until Sept 1st, when I can pick it up, because I wanted a '56 registration plate. I sat in a 325i msport in the showroom, just to get a feel for it again. The sports seats are incredibly snug compared to the big leather efforts in my 530d and I think they will be more comfortable over long distances also. I also checked out inside the armrest to make sure my ipod and phone will fit - should be OK I think. I'm exited about getting a brand new car, but I think I will miss the e60 for it's size and wow factor. People in the UK tend to think the e60 is a LOT more expensive than the 3, but it isn't really compared to a 330i. |
