I've heard that if you take off the recirculating hose or something like tha that goes into the muffler and plug it with a nail that the exhuast will sound louder and more aggresive. I've also heard that it might effect the cars performace in a bad way? Can someone who has heard of this mod or done the mod themsleves please respond and enlighten me on this...

Why plug anything with a nail....... do a search

if you're trying to go cheap why not try a muffler delete? haven't personally heard them on a 330 but they sound great on 328s

what you are talking about is the golf tee mod!!
what u want to do is pull off the little black vaccum hose and plug it up with a golf tee then zip tie the hose so it doesnt hang down.

what ever u do do not unplug the actuator on the muffler cause it will throw a code..

i have done this to my 335xi and it sounds like ur at WOT all the time

i have done this to my 335xi and it sounds like ur at WOT all the time

ive pulled the plug and plugged it back in multiple times and havent gotten a code. my plugs been off for months.
