Lewis To Drive For BrawnGP?????
A little birdy (racing mate of mine) told me something very interesting last night - a source very close to Hamilton has suggested that Lewis and his father are looking into getting out of his Mclaren contract asap??? Could be and probably is a load of rubbish and hype - but maybe a drive for Ross could be on the cards!!!! Anyone know any more???

Mmm I would be very surprised if that happened, particularly mid-season

How would it work if a driver jumped ship mid-season? Does he keep his points accrued from his previous team and carry them over?

Given Ron Dennis has now given complete control of McLaren F1 to Martin Whitmarsh, and is therefore no longer any part of McLaren F1 Racing, it would seem entirely plausible that Lewis Hamilton is looking to leave the team. He was very much Ron Dennis' pet project, and without him there it seems as though it might be time for pastures new for Hamilton, especially coupled with the fact that he probably feels very bitter towards the team for the most recent events.
BrawnGP though?? Unlikely, given the sterling job that Button and Barrichello have done, not to mention the vast pay cuts they took just to keep the team going. Can you really see Hamilton taking a huge pay cut just to race for the current winning car? And also, this can't happen mid-season, as other drivers are also in contracts... this would definitely be an end-of-season thing. Hamilton to Ferrari anyone ?? Or BMW Sauber ??

Sure that was mentioned in another thread somewhere
Would be great for him to go to Brawn though, just can't see it happening. ETA: wow, looks like they are even saving money on the webdesign: http://www.brawngp.com/index.asp |

Drivers - one guy could drive with 5 teams and win points with all teams Constructors - points awarded to the team regardless of the driver winning them My money would be LH staying for at least this season. Who knows which car/team is the best to be with at the moment if he wanted to change. Certainly not Ferrari. |

Lewis won't go anywhere this year I reckon - If he does move - he's more likely to go to Ferrari than Brawn!

If Lewis did move to Ferrari, which driver would he most likely replace? Kimi or Massa?
