Have had the SmartTop fitted for nearly 2 years no problems. Got one of the Beta mirror function modules and works well. Have set the roof operation at speed to the lowest setting 7 mph I think as I don't trust the mechanism robustness above this speed.

Recently purchased the SmartTop module. Any tips on installation? Did you install with your top down or up? Thanks!

Take your time and disconnect battery, not that easy on the E93 but worth the extra time taken in my opinion. Follow instructions and you can't go much wrong the only deviation I did was to solder the main pos and neg cables as opposed to the crimp connections, I have never trusted scotch crimps for good connections. Don't need top lowered.
