2009 BMW LCI: 335i X Drive Muffler Delete

After hearing AutoCouture's car with the muffler delete, I fell in love and had to do it.

Details:
Purchased 89mm tips from JBSPEED - awesome transaction
Mods - JB+, DCI (DIY)
Price - $300 for everything - beats spending over $1k
Retains OEM Midpipes (both sets of catalytic converters are retained)

Comments:

The sound is fantastic. Coming from an E46 M3 that has a dixis muffler and supersprint section 2 and csl headers and cats, this car sounds awesome! You can hear the intakes whistling and the brute noise this car makes. Sounds as good as its big brother V8!

There is some drone, but at 70 mph in 6th gear...essentially when you cruise at 2500RPM, but thats it. The noise in the cabin is very nicely muffled.

I think comparing it to a full exhaust is not fair, as its only the rear tips, but to retain the 2ndary cats, and all the stock midpipes, AND TO PAY only $300 for EVERYTHING, can't beat it.

so thay just cut the mufflers? and put a pipe from there? any CELs?

thanks man! sounds better i guess cuz of the garage as well

pretty much just cut the muffler off the midpipe, put a pipe on, and tips that you provide (JBSPEED has some nice ones, CYBA has some, and DiMISA has the expensive quad ones - I did single tip cuz I believe quads are reserved for M and AMG vehicles (not M45 from Infiniti

)

the welds are top notch.

Def will meet up. I don't do alot of meets, but the next BMW meet, ill roll to.
